Epayment firm ACI opens new data centre, creates 50 jobs

Electronic payment company ACI Worldwide has opened a new state-of-the-art data centre in Limerick with the aim of expanding the firm’s capabilities in Europe.

ACI boast a host of major clients, including two of Ireland’s biggest banks. The business built the new centre in record time as it looks to accommodate growing demand from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The new centre will also lead to the creation of 50 new jobs, adding to the 100 staff it already employs in Limerick where ACI has had a presence for the last ten years.

ACI president Phil Heasley said the company was “very excited” by its new centre.
“As more organizations embrace private cloud solutions to gain a competitive edge, they’re turning to ACI; our dedicated cloud payments offerings provide the security, privacy and reliability that customers need and expect from mission-critical payment solutions.”

Outside of epayments, ACI also provides banking and fraud protection solutions to more than 4,600 financial institutions, retailers, and billers through its private cloud network.
