Immedis, a specialist division of the Terry Clune owned Taxback Group, has today announced the acquisition of US international payroll company Expaticore.
The $10m (€9.1m) acquisition is a first for Immedis and signals a step in the organisation’s growth plans.
“We see real potential for the services we offer in the US market and are delighted to welcome our colleagues at Expaticore on board. There are clear synergies between the two businesses including our existing technology and tax expertise and their expertise on international payroll,” Ruairi Kelleher, executive director of Immedis said.
The company also announced today that it intends to create 150 jobs over the next three years. Speaking to Independent.ie a spokesperson for the company said that it is hoped that the majority of the 150 jobs will be created in Ireland.
The acquisition should strengthen Immedis’ capabilities both in the US and globally.
Immedis’ current client list includes amongst others Airbus, ESB International and Lifes2Good. Meanwhile Clune also owns 55pc of fast-growing money-transfer business Transfermate.
